...the family said their final goodbyes to our Mum Ginge on January 26th. She will be sorely missed but her time was done and she was ready to go and, in line with her wishes, her body will be left to Medical Research if possible and if that's not then her instructions are, "The cheapest, greenest burial and no mourners!". Typical of the woman.....no fuss, no bother. She's leaving us with 'a couple of quid to have a drink and talk of happy times' and for that small gesture she will forever be 'Granny Ali' xxx The upload features a small tribute to her but for the most part it's the usual mix of old and (nearly) new, a bit of Northern Soul and some slushy stuff in the Saturday Love slot. I start a second weekly show tomorrow(Feb 5th) with Soul Music Radio featuring two hours of Northern and Detroit Soul and hope you can spend some time there too...a strictly talc free zone.
